About your team and your mission
GitGuardian has built a strong product with a clear mission, and our user community is hungry for practical, security-first guidance. We're hiring a video content creator and community manager to own our online presence end-to-end across communities, social channels, and especially YouTube.
Reporting to the Head of Brand and Content, you'll turn our existing expertise into consistent, high-signal content that earns attention, builds trust, and generates inbound demand.
Your day-one responsibilities:
Build and run our YouTube strategy from the ground up including format portfolio, publishing cadence, series concepts, creative direction, on-camera and/or producer leadership, editing workflow, and distribution.
Transform existing assets (blogs, reports, webinars, conference talks, documentation) into short-form clips, explainers, demos, and community-ready snippets that maximize reach and engagement.
Manage our social presence with a clear voice and measurable goals. Own the editorial calendar, channel strategy, creator collaborations, amplification loops, and community interaction.
Actively engage with security/developer communities, open-source spaces, online events, etc. You will cultivate relationships and create feedback loops into marketing and product.
Partner with the CMO and senior leadership to translate positioning into repeatable programs that look and feel unmistakably GitGuardian everywhere.
What you'll do :
Build the operating system: editorial plan, production pipeline, KPI dashboard, and a repeatable content supply chain.
Run experiments across formats: think shorts, deep dives, podcasts/interviews, tutorials, reaction/analysis, product walkthroughs, etc. and then double down on what works.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Marketing, DevRel/Advocacy, Brand, Sales, and Product to keep content accurate, timely, and strategically aligned.
Build a bench over time: freelancers, agencies, internal creators, and guest experts to scale output without sacrificing quality.
About you
If you think you match at least 70% of these criteria, please apply!
Here's what we consider essential for success in this role:
Excellent communication skills in English and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
A hybrid skillset that is strong in Developer Relations + Product Marketing + Social/ Video Creator playbooks
Proven track record shipping video content consistently (bonus points if you've grown a B2B dev/security channel)
Strong editorial judgment: you can turn complex security topics into content developers actually watch and share
Comfortable with metrics: you run analytics without optimizing the soul out of the brand
High agency: you can start hands-on, then scale systems and teams as the function matures
The following skills would strengthen your application but aren't required:
Experience in the cybersecurity or developer tooling space
Comfort being a GitGuardian brand voice and face
Background managing content creators, agencies, or freelance talent
Experience with community platforms (Discord, Slack, Reddit, Dev.to, Hacker News)
Familiarity with GitHub, open-source communities, or DevSecOps workflows
